I created a folder where i want the files to be created and i only get the .DBML file gets created but not the designer. After about 5 minutes i get a .NET error message that comes up and closes out of the program.

Linqer uses SqlMetal utility to generate dbml and designer.cs files.
Looks like SqlMetal doesn't do a good job in your case
You can try to run SqlMetal directly, but the best way is to produce dbml and designer.cs in Visual Studio and then use them in Linqer.
