Added database normally and edmx files, opened up linqer, typed in a simple SQL statement and received: Index was outside the bounds of the array. D'oh!!!! FAIL! Any brilliant ideas?

Me too, simple select and fail, and the edmx is fine.

Can't tell what's wrong without having edmx.

Hi Mikhail, I just recently downloaded a trial copy and am experiencing the exact same problem. I can't get past this first step in order to evaluate the software.
Have you had any success finding the problem with the .edmx files you've looked at so far from the other two posters? I can forward you mine if necessary, but I would like to see the answer posted here on this forum.
Thanks, JBS

The designer.cs file was totaly wrong. It is very important that edmx and designer.* match each other. I recommend to generate model files in Visual Studio and make sure you can compile a simplest LINQ statement in Visual Studio first. Then you can take your model files and setup Linqer connection.

That was it! Looking at my designer.cs file, it just had this in it:
// Default code generation is disabled for model 'C:\abc\xyz.edmx'. // To enable default code generation, change the value of the 'Code Generation Strategy' designer // property to an alternate value. This property is available in the Properties Window when the model is // open in the designer.
That gave me the hint on how to generate the designer.cs file properly. I changed that property from "None" to "Default" and viola, now I can connect to my DB.
Thanks for your help, JBS
